About Us
Dreadnought is one of the few remaining independent second-hand bookshops in Bristol. We are history specialists, but have stock to satisfy most interests.
The shop is a short walk from the city centre and the recently regenerated harbourside area, with the historic SS Great Britain and the marvellous city views offered by Cabot Tower atop Brandon Hill nearby. Dreadnought also inhabits the web, with our inventory listed across various bookselling sites, however not all of our stock is listed online so be sure to pay the shop a visit.
Terms of Trade
Items may be returned within 30 days if not as described. A full refund will be offered as long as the book is returned in the same condition as it was dispatched.

Payment if by cheque, must be in Sterling (UK pounds) and drawn on a UK bank only, and is to be made payable to John Sidwell. Payment by credit card available through Paypal.
Postage charged at cost, please contact for details of over-sized books, etc. Orders usually shipped within 2 business days.
