slight rubbing at their head and tail of the spine, age toning of the top edge of the text block, with volume 144 having a small splash mark on the top edge, there being no other damage to describe. Illustrated with colour plates, and black-and-white photography. A neat collection reviewing the state of the arts and literature in the early 1950s. Page 12 of volume 144 has had a picture removed neatly, and then sticky taped back in place. There is not appear to be any other repetition of this desecration.
