XX,296pp., list of illustrations. Endpapers illustrated by a map. Illustrated frontispiece of author, and throughout the book semi-tone photographs, black and white line drawings, and five maps illustrated the book. Dark bottle green covers with black writing on spine. Illustrated dustwrapper with black and white writing on the front cover and spine. In an epic 32 cantos the author has put down, in writing, his thoughts, feelings, philosophy, humour, hardships and life as a prisoner of war of the Japanese during World War II. the book is still shows no damage, being claimed and free of annotation, the dust jacket has a rubbing it to the top and bottom edges, and has abrasions on the left hand margin of the front panel.
