250 g 3-252 pages, + (2) in original bright red hardcover binding. There is a small hole in the top left-hand corner of the front panel exposing webbing. Foxing to the top and front edges of the text block, and to the 1st and last pages of the book. The 1st page of the book, is the half title page, because the book was printed with out end pages. The dustjacket which has an advertisement for Pearl Mazda lamps on the rear panel (there is also a notation printed on the rear panel of the book to use Mazda electric lamps), and a picture of a girl on the front panel, with 43rd thousand and Universal Library No 21, one shilling. Rubbing and chipping at the tail of the spine section of the jacket, and chipping with some loss to the top edge of the jacket. Now protected. Sir Phillip Gibbs brother was a prolific writer in his own right, and this novel of a girl in distress was 1st published in 1911. Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover).
