400 g; 192 pages, with chronology, bibliography, and index. Illustrated with black-and-white photographs. Interestingly I could see no map in the book. Colour illustrated dustjacket. The top edge of the front panel the dustjacket has been rubbed with some loss of colour, and the spine has been sunned. The edges of the text block are foxed and the book has a slightly musty odour. A history of the exploration of the Arctic, and of the peoples who live in Lapland in Greenland in northern Canada and Alaska and Siberia adjacent the Arctic Circle. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
