250 g; X, 54 pages, last five pages blank, in colour illustrated dust jacket. Very slight rubbing of the dust jacket edges. Trace of rubbing to the heel of the spine. There is opposite the title page, an inscription which reads "for Ray best wishes Noel Monahan". This is the poet's first work. " Noel Monahan's first collection of poetry, Opposite Walls, was published by Salmon, Galway, 1991. Noel is co-editor of Windows Publications and has toured Ireland with Windows National Poetry Readings. Winner of the Kilkenny Prize for Poetry, 1992, Noel compiled and directed "Half a Vegetable" a dramatic presentation of Patrick Kavanagh's poetry, for Temenos Theatre Group (1994). His second collection of poetry, Snowfire, was published by Salmon (1995). In 1995, he won The William Allingham Poetry Award. In 1996, his poetry was translated into Italian and appeared in the Italian literary magazine, Tratti.
