preface by E. C. Parnwell. Dark red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. A series of short stories, 23, of stories, both fictional and non-fiction, set in the South Seas. The first story being an account of picking up of the ship wrecked sailor Alexander Selkirk off the island of Juan Fernandez, in the Pacific ocean – Alexander Selkirk being more famous and known as Robinson Crusoe in the 1700s, then there are fictional stories by such authors as Herman Melville and Robert Louis Stevenson. Softening of the back strip edges with a little rubbing also present. Rubbing of the book corners and book panels, which also show some scores. Browning of the text block edges with scattered foxing. Offset tanning and browning of the endpapers, though the pages show only light age toning. Previous owners rubber stamp to the top right hand corner of the free front endpaper and lower text edge. There is a red faux silk place marker which shows fraying at the end. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 411, [1] pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1.
