Softening and rubbing to the backstrip edges and bumping and fraying to the book corners. Rubbing of the book edges and panels with a few scores to the cloth. Browning and faint foxing to the text block edges and age toning of the pages surprisingly. As mentioned, of the mentioned eight illustrations, there is only one Hollyhock and that has been removed from the text block. The hinges have cracked and the underlying webbing is very visible. The front tissue guard is still in situ alas no illustration to protect. Previous owner's name to the top edge of the free front and paper. Faint browning and foxing to the endpapers.
