Blue coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper with red and green coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Set in 1916, with a disparate group of people riding a freight wagon – all running from something / someone – when one of the occupants kills a sadistic train "bull", they become wanted. They succeed in escaping to Mexico, but find that that only compounds their problems, and, at last to escape they will need an old, but powerful, racing car, dynamite and newly minted silver. Softening and rubbing to the backstrip edges and to the lower edges. Dust marks to the top textblock edge with age toning of the pages. A few marks to the endpapers. Creasing to the dustwrapper edges with fading to the backstrip. The rest of the dustwrapper shows yellowing. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [11], 4 - 307, [5] pages..
