Colour illustrated frontispiece, and all the black and white drawings with in the text had been done by Gordon Browne. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with black and white illustration and titles embossed to the front panel and backstrip. A story for girls, with a very overt Christian theme, probably from the 1920s. Softening and rubbing to the backstrip edges and corners. Rubbing to the lower book corners and the lower corner of the rear panel has the underlying board showing. Sunning to the backstrip with rubbing to the panels along with some marks. Heavy foxing and lighter browning to the text block edges and lighter foxing and browning to the pages. The frontispiece has become somewhat detached from the textblock the lower half is free. Gift inscription, dated 1943, to the free front end paper. On the lower edge of the backstrip the letters "R. T. S." have been printed probably The Religious Tract Society, but the title page does say "Every Girl's Paper" Office. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
