This encyclopaedia was a weekly instalment magazine over 56 weeks, and each cover had a different illustrations / photographs. A previous owner has had volumes 1 through to 8 bound in a black coloured library binding with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. An encyclopaedia on the history of Australia, bought on a weekly basis, starting with the earliest exploration and discovery of Australia through to the building of a nation. Large indigenous component within the encyclopaedia. Included are the original covers for the bound volume and two complimentary wall charts – one showing environmental areas and a map of Australia. On the bound volume: – minor rubbing to the backstrip edges and book corners. Some dust marks to the book panels with faint foxing and age toning of the textblock edges.
