foreword by J. L. Paton, M. A., High Master, Manchester Grammar School, preface by author and index. 1/4 beige coloured cloth covered backstrip with black coloured titles. 3/4 green coloured boards with black coloured embossed titles to the front panel. A small book on education, more specifically, teachers, from the early part of the 20th century. The author, a teacher himself, goes on what he hopes will be the future of education and the ideals and aspirations to strive for as a teacher, and, even for the powers that be in the education Department. No date is readily ascertained, but the dedication remembers the fallen past students of the author in the Great War (World War I), so the date of publication is probably middle to late 1920s. The book is showing its age. Softening of the backstrip with bumping of the book corners and rubbing of the book edges. Rubbing has also occurred to the book panels with browning and foxing to the backstrip. Browning and foxing has also occurred to the textblock edges and pages. Previous owners initials have been attempted to be erased, but still visible and the paper has become a little wrinkled. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], 7-101, [3] pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 500 grams. Category: Education; Britain/UK; Inventory No: 0116007.
