author's preface. Dark maroon coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Plain text dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. An exposé of the anatomy of a brilliant train robbery – that of Britain's Great Train Robbery, executed to the tee spiralling into a debacle with the main robbers caught. How the gang got together, the planning of the robbery, the getaway and the dispersal of the monies are all discussed and the inevitable media circus that followed. This is an ex-Police Library College title, and stamps stating the same are occasionally to the right-hand edge of the pages, the date due back page and library pocket are still in situ to the rear three end paper.
