Red colour to the verso of the boards with cream-coloured free endpapers Black and white photographic frontispiece, of Booth Tarkington, with tissue guard. At the rear of the book is the frontispiece photograph reproduced, only smaller, and a reproduction of the original frontispiece for the book called Gentle Julia, published in 1922 in New York City. 1/4 chocolate brown coloured cloth covered backstrip. 3/4 cream-coloured boards with small black and white illustration with red and black coloured titles to the front panel. Red satin place marker – with no damage to report. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as the underlying board with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the backstrip. A book from the early part of the 20th century. Facsimile Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 185 – which includes three pages of a small biography and bibliography of author, [3] pages. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Dust Jacket is in as new condition, apart from normal shop shelf wear - contains no tears or chips or other damage. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
