Red colour to the verso of the boards with cream-coloured free endpapers Black and white photographic frontispiece, of Booth Tarkington, with tissue guard. At the rear of the book is the frontispiece photograph reproduced, only smaller, and a reproduction of the original frontispiece for the book called Gentle Julia, published in 1922 in New York City. 1/4 chocolate brown coloured cloth covered backstrip. 3/4 cream-coloured boards with small black and white illustration with red and black coloured titles to the front panel. Red satin place marker – with no damage to report. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as the underlying board with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the backstrip. A book from the early part of the 20th century. Facsimile Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 185 – which includes three pages of a small biography and bibliography of author, [3] pages. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
