Photographic endpapers showing various barbecue implements. The text is illustrated with fabulous colour photography taken by Peter Johnson. Dark purple coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper, again by Peter Johnson, with pale yellow and red coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the backstrip. One of the first books to take barbecuing from mundane to fine dining. The book goes from entrees through to desserts, all done around or on the barbecue. Rubbing to the book corners, backstrip edges and lower book edges. Some rubbing of the book panels with age toning of the textblock edges. A little chipping to the dustwrapper corners and there is a 0.5 " tear to the lower left-hand corner of the front panel. Rubbing to the dustwrapper panels and fading to the backstrip.
