Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt illustration of a carnation embossed to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. An easy to read and follow guide from the 1950s on the most rewarding of plants, with a surprising array of variation, the carnation. Softening to the head end to the heel of the backstrip and rubbing to the lower book edge.
