Sir Tristan and You, A Tristan Timetable, bibliography, a guide to pronunciation and index. Olive coloured endpapers. Black and white illustrated four-page illustration at the beginning of the text. Yellow coloured cloth covered boards with brown coloured titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. An investigation on the Sir Tristan and Iseut legend. Starting in 12th century France the author investigates and explores the various origins of the legend and examines its many variations and guises. Both the early and late versions are examined and of the inspiration and retelling down through the years. A little softening to the head into the heel of the backstrip and faint age toning of the textblock edges and internal pages. Some creasing to the dustwrapper edges and rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Faint remains of insect damage can be seen along the front fore edge. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
