Plain text dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. in 1953 Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed in America for espionage. Since their arrest in 1950 to the time of their execution they wrote letters to each other, and once their final petition for clemency had been rejected they chose the letters of this book as a fund for their two sons. In the book the Rosenbergs. "... do not argue the justice of the case, nor for revision of this sentence, but make explicit the drama of torn lives and an up rooted family. The top left-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel is missing and the effects of moisture application can be seeing, particularly to the verso of the dustwrapper, where bleeding of the book colour is visible please see photograph.
