A book written in the last part of the 19th century and setting the city of Tangier and its environs, and dealing with the, then unknown, people and religion. This book was part of the American Merchant Marine Library Association and has all the faults of same. Library stamps to the front paste-down, free front endpaper and title page. Softening, rubbing and fraying to the backstrip edges and to the book corners. Shelfwear to the book edges and fading to the backstrip and to the front book panel. Stains, rubs and some flecking to the book panels. Browning and faint foxing to the textblock edges and internal text. The free front endpaper is missing.
