Illustrated endpapers, both different, the front and paper showing a small kitten and some stars set against a gold coloured background, rear endpapers showing to smaller kittens playing with an unravelled ball of twine -- again there is a gold coloured background. The text is illustrated with numerous duotone illustrations throughout the text by Margaret Horder. Illustrated boards, showing a young brother and sister opening a door followed by their dog, with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. A book put out in conjunction with the Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) radio series "Kindergarten of the Air", this is a collection of poetry and short stories for children aged three to six years of age. Contributors include Ruth Park, Paul Grainger, Jean Chapman, Margaret Terry and Anne Martyn. Bumping to the backstrip edges and to the top book corners. There is sustaining, browning and handling marks to the internal text along with the occasional dog gearing of pages. Rubbing and creasing to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges.
