VII, 8-240 pages, and index. The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings by the author himself, sizes being from small black-and-white drawings up to full-page illustrations. Red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Bumping to the backstrip and rubbing to the book corners. discolouration to the top and bottom book edges and browning and light foxing of the text block edges. Light browning and foxing of the endpapers and the front hinge has a few small holes in which the underlying webbing can be seen. The internal text is lightly age toned. Illustrated dustwrapper with white titles to the front panel and black titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and chipping, along with small tears to the dustwrapper corners. Rubbing and chipping to the backstrip edges and there is heavy rubbing and wearing to the other book edges/creases. There is a 2 inch tear to the top edge of the rear dustwrapper panel, with associated creasing. Splitting on either side of the backstrip edges. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. There is a crease the full length of the rear fold over panel. The reminiscences of the author chiefly being that of enjoying food in all its forms, in all places and of the joys of being an artist. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
