VI, 663 pages, seven pages following -- advertisements for various sponsors and last page blank, list of sponsors, acknowledgements, foreword by Race Mathews, Minister for the Arts, preface (in French) by M. Bernard Ledun -- Consul General of France for Melbourne, introduction and a further reading. The text is illustrated with some black-and-white photographs and numerous black-and-white contemporary illustrations, highlighting French presence in Victoria from 1800 to 1901. Colour illustrated front cover, against a black background with white titles to the front panel. A little rubbing to the book edges and to the book panels. An exhibition presented by Alliance Francaise de Melbourne, French Consulate General and La Trobe Library to celebrate the 150 anniversary of Victoria.
