From the palace at Ekaterinburg in Russia where the last Czar and his family were murdered, the route taking in the footsteps of Hannibal -- using elephants, his visiting of the citadel in Haiti where King Christophe and his court ruled plus other out of the way places visited. Not only is the book a travelogue of, unknown and mysterious places for the 1930s, but also included is relevant historical background of the people and of events that occurred in the places visited.
