Black coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and to the top book corners. A few marks to the cloth of the book. Browning and staining to the text block edges. Like Browning and foxing to the endpapers and age timing to the internal text. Previous owner's name to the top edge of the free front end paper. Plain text dustwrapper with yellow background with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and chipping, with loss, to the dustwrapper corners and to the top backstrip edge. Rubbing and creasing to the other dustwrapper edges and the lower backstrip edge has numerous small tears. There is a 1.5 " tear to the top left-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel which has also a horizontal component measuring 0.5 ", and there is a 1.25 " tear to the top right-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel. Rubbing and Browning to the fold over creases, top dustwrapper edges and quite notable darkening to the backstrip. Rubbing and marking to the other dustwrapper panels. Browning to the verso of the dustwrapper and a previous owner has supported tears to the top dustwrapper edged with tape, tape still in situ. There are two small holes to the front dustwrapper panel. On the rear, verso dustwrapper panel a previous owner has made some notations in red pencil.
