VI, 192 pages, last three pages blank (intentionally). Black coloured boards with green titles to the backstrip and a small silver illustration of a gun. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and a little rubbing to the book corners. The front board is slightly bowed. Browning and foxing to the text block edges. Browning, offset tanning and foxing to the first few and the last few pages of the book and the internal text shows age toning and handling marks. A previous owner has placed their name, the date 9/4/ 86 and the number 342 the top edge of the front paste-down. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower edge of the front paste-down. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing a young woman and man being menaced by another gentleman with a torch and a gun, with yellow, orange and black titles to the front panel and black titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the top dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the backstrip. There is a small hole 2 inches down from the top backstrip edge. The backstrip is quite darkened and staining is present as well. A little rubbing and handling marks to the rear dustwrapper panel and the number 3356 has been stamped to lower left-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel, in purple ink. The verso of the dustwrapper is quite noticeably foxed and the backstrip region is completely brown. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. The Foreman Journals were unknown until the airline crash at Grieskirchen, but before long violence and intrigue were the order of the day. An American agent, Miles, followed the journals from Vienna to Regensburg and then the trail went cold. Enter M.I.5. operative Gregory Keen, entering West Germany to meet a man called Mayerling instead meeting a young woman named Anna and from that moment on they were trailed by The Faceless Ones.
