Included in the reminiscences are the following: -- The Athabasca River, Grand Rapids, Fort Simpson, the MacKenzie River, the Eskimo, first traffic with the Indians, the Peel River etc. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and the book corners are rubbed. Browning and foxing to the text block edges with browning of the pages. Offset tanning to the endpapers and browning to the internal pages as well. From pages 123 -- 163 the lower right-hand corners of the pages have become kinked. The dust wrapper is rubbed, grubby and somewhat faded.
