The spine has been sun affected and has become quite dark. Dust marks to the top paper edge. A few handling marks internally. Illustrated dustwrapper, by Richard Dalkins, with black writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper has become a little grubby and the white quite dull. Rubbing to the dustwrapper corners and there are a few stains to the verso of the dustwrapper. There is a 0.5 " tear to the top rear dustwrapper edge with associated creasing. A tough loner, Jake Hollander, finds himself as an "outraged custodian" of two small Mexican children. He intends to leave them in an small New Mexican mining town but changes his mind when he finds a spinster of unexpected spirit, a wagon full of mail-order brides that have not arrived and the small matter of escaped criminal from the local territorial prison.
