256pp. Red coloured boards with black writing on the spine. Bumping to all corners of the book and to the head and to the heel of the spine. The spine is cocked. White spotting to the book panels. Browning and slight foxing to the top paper edges and browning to the other edges. Browning and offset tanning to the endpapers and internal pages are very slightly brown as well. Previous owners name on the free front endpaper. The dustwrapper is illustrated, very bright showing a man's torso against a mechanical background, with white and blue writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is rubbed, slightly faded, particularly the spine. The corners of the dustwrapper chipped, with some loss as is the head and the heel of the spine. Some small tears with associated creasing to the top and bottom front panel edge. The back panel is quite grubby and slightly sun affected. Dustwrapper is price clipped, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. Darkening of the fold overs. A tale of the future, machines and a mutated race with telepathic powers.
