Red coloured boards with black line drawing of a "Eastern personage" with black writing on the front panel and spine. Very minor bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine. Browning and foxing to the paper edges and there is very faint offset tanning to the endpapers. Internally the pages are somewhat browned, and the occasional foxing spot. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for front board, with green and grey background and green writing on the front panel and spine. Dustwrapper is sun affected, particularly the spine and the front edge of the front panel. Darkening has also occurred to the rear fold over edge. Very minor rubbing to the top and bottom dustwrapper edge. Dustwrapper has been priced clipped, in a very rough manner, on the front fold over, lower right hand corner. The remains of a price sticker can also be seen on the lower left hand corner of the front fold over. A small history about the contribution that Eastern civilisations have knowledge of the sciences.
