Yellow coloured boards with black decoration on the right hand corner of the front panel with black writing on the spine. Blue coloured tint to the top text edge. Illustrated dust wrapper, showing an elderly Oriental gentlemen against an Oriental background, with white and blue coloured titles to the front panel and blue coloured titles to the backstrip. Part of the Kai Lung series written in the 1920s and 30s, with sly humour and subtle digs. Corners of the book are bumped and frayed as are the head and the heel of the spine. Foxing has occurred to the cloth of the board, particularly noticeable in the spine. There are other marks also to the front and that panels. Browning to the paper edges as well as foxing. Original bookseller's sticker to the bottom right-hand corner of the front paste-down with foxing to the endpapers and to the pages. The dust wrapper is heavily rubbed, faded and chipped. The head and the heel of the spine have pieces missing and there is the remains of a sticker on the front panel. Dustwrapper suffers from grubby marks. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
