Shelf wear is evident to bottom edges and the head and the head and heel of the spine up also affected. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Tess, with black & yellow background with yellow and black titles on front panel and spine. The corners are chipped and there is rubbing along both front and back foldover edges. There is generally rubbing and fading of the dustwrapper. The head and the heel of spine are creased and there are is a tear on top front edge of the dustwrapper. This is a semi autobiographical novel of a woman's life in the literary world, "Of the harm that thoughtless critics can do, especially when they are mostly concerned to show their own knowledge and assumed superiority.".
