The enclosed Christmas card c. 1950 vibntage is signed by Wheatley. the enclosed letter is a 2-oage typed letter to Hailing (too lengthy to reproduce here in full) which discusses various matters including the book. Full copy can be provided to interested parties prior to purchase). Letter is signed at foot of p.2 by Wheatley in ink, and a handwritten note added by Wheatley, also in ink: "One is almost afraid to avow love for anyone of the same sex nowadays! How I loathe this love of making everything horrible!". Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Slight foxing front/rear pages, but body of book mostly clean and unfoxed. Dust Jacket worn at edges, small chips and tears.
