Brown gilt-stamped cloth over boards, frontispiece engraving of Hill, 60 pages, a presentation copy given by Hill's son, Edward Bayard Hill, to Lansing Pruyn. Nicholas Hill was a respected lawyer in Albany, New York. Edward Bayard Hill died only 3 years after his father in 1862 as a Union soldier in the Civil War.
