First Edition, First Issue (page 19, line 18 "Moore" in perfect type). Red gilt stamped and illustrated cloth over boards, illustrations by Frederic Remington, signed by the author Alfred Henry Lewis on the front flyleaf, frontispiece with tissue and 17 other black-and-white illustrations (several full page) by Remington. Corners and spine ends bumped and worn, spine discolored with lettering on spine fading, boards soiled, front and back hinges cracked exposing webbing, previous owner's bookplate on front paste down, interior hinges cracked, a couple of pages loose but present, a few pages soiled from handling (mostly verso of full-page plates).
