Green cloth, gilt portrait of a hunting dog on front cover, xvi, 99 pages,12 pages of gun & hunting related advertisements (a couple of really good illustrations for watches and hunting rifles); very nice engravings by Beech of hunting dogs at work. Corners and spine ends have some wear, some light stains/light soil on covers, a little wrinkling of cloth on front cover, front hinge cracked, some light spots here and there on pages, but overall very clean for a book of this type, owner's name and 1881 on front free end paper, also, written in ink on fly title is a notation about powder and shot.
