The Ladby ship was interred in the middle of the of the 10th century at a time when Denmark was emerging from the silent past into the reports of written history. The written sources which can tell about the times of the kings Gorm the Old & Harald Bluetooth are few and can hardly be increased appreciably. In return we may hope to have our knowledge increased through the evidence wrested from the Danish soil. Contains B&W photos & diagrams. There is some foxing to the front & rear pages. Thin booklet.
