Combining her considerable talents and infectious enthusiasm for William Morris, Beth Russell has adapted a number of his most beautiful designs to create an original needlepoint collection for the home. Morris was probably the most prolific and talented designer that the nineteenth century ever witnessed. Inspired by the natural world around him, he produced a wealth of designs for embroideries, tapestries and wallpapers. Beth Russell's needlepoint projects are a unique interpretation of this work and pay due homage to his creative genius. Most of these projects are worked in tent stitch for canvas, and the accompany colour charts enable the reader to follow the instructions with ease. All the materials needed for each project are indicated, including the amount of yarn to buy, and advice is given on stitching and finishing off. There is 3/4" tear on the front of the dust jacket at the top about an 1" from the spine. There is also a tear at the bottom of the first end paper about 1" long. There is also the embossed name of the previous owner at the bottom of the title page. I have not seen such a mark on a book from personal collection before. I have included a picture. Size: 250mm - 330mm. 133 pages. Dust Jacket has some shelf-wear as well as some bumping to corners and extremities. Covers have some shelf-wear as well as some bumpig to corners and extremities.
