This is the first of an intended eight volume series dedicated to the teachings of G.I Gurdjieff and his student prodigy, P.D. Ouspensky. Volume One is mainly concerned with esoteric psychology according to Gurdjieff; with a few elements added from elsewhere. Most of what we see on our bookshelves today, pertaining to Gurdjieff and Ouspensky, belongs to the last century and is written in a form and style typical of that era. The exception being Gurdjieff's magnum opus - Beelzebub's Tales to his Grandson. It is my intention to create a synergy of all the materials out there and render them more accessible and lucid for the reader in this, the 21st century. In just eight volumes, I will present a synthesis of all those esoteric materials from the past - spread over perhaps as many as 200 volumes in all.
