Faber, 1942, Hardcover, Book Condition: Good, Dust Jacket Condition: Poor, First
Published at the height of the war and with economy book production standards in place which might be why it is now a rather scarce novel, especially so in any kind of jacket. A note paperclipped to the endpaper explains a little of Winifred Peck's connections but unfortunately the clip has rusted and stained a couple of pages where it rests at the top. The book has a bit of a lean to the spine. The jacket is missing about 3" at the bottom of the spine, has a couple of smaller losses and a number of chips and short tears. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Category: Fiction;
