A prize volume with the arms of Richmond Hospital School of Anatomy, Medicine and Surgery stamped in gilt on the both boards with a large engraved prize label dated 1841 with a long citation on the front endpaper. The book was awarded to John Babington Smyth for his distinguished answering in a Surgical Pathology exam. The leather is somewhat worn with some small holes and splits and is unevenly fade.
