A marriage of two volumes from separate sets. Volume one is in half brown leather with marbled boards and volume two is in full purple leather with gilt decoration to the spine. Whilst rebinding might be an option they present reasonably well together on the shelf and this would represent a very good value set. Both volumes are illustrated only with a lithographic frontispiece and volume one has a little foxing to the prelims and onto the border of the frontispiece.
