A delightful Victorian children's book with chromolithographed illustrations by Pym in a Greenaway style. Each coloured illustration has a black and white line version facing or next to it and children on the front cover are invited to "bring your paints or chalks". Fortunately, the only time this invitation has been taken up is with the small illustration on the title page and then very well.
