Each volume has a selected list of books by the publishers, and is bound in a dark purple cloth. each volume has a lilac (that's the publisher's description of the colour) colour dustwrapper showing rubbing to the head and tail of each spine, and slight rubbing to the top edge of each dustwrapper, and to the flat surfaces of the front and rear of each wrapper. The top edge of the text block has a golden tint. Each volume has the original bookseller's sticker at the lower corner of the front free end page, and the previous owner's name on either the 2nd or 3rd page lower right-hand corner.
