Hamish Hamilton, 1940, Hardcover, Book Condition: Reading Copy, Dust Jacket Condition: No, First

400 g; 334 pages, includes three pages selected from Hamish Hamilton's fiction list. The book has been repaired at the front and rear hinge a couple of times, I believe it also has had the end paste down replaced, and there is a library stamp on the penultimate page. The front panel of the dustjacket has been pasted to the front board, and then both front and rear boards have been shellacked, the back strip section of the binding has become detached at the left-hand side, and the titling is no longer visible (unless you have a very good imagination) the edges of the pages are darkens with age, and showed traces of foxing. The condition of the binding is atrocious, not good, and damaged. ". The eighth Barsetshire novel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1. Category: Fiction; Inventory No: 0227525.
