400 g; XXXII, 264 pages, with illustrated paste downs, and illustrated dust jacket. The dust jacket has chips at the top and bottom of the spine section, and rubbing at the fold over creases. The book is illustrated with a cartoons from the works of Max Beerbohm. There is some marginalia, and an extra poem at page 262 written in ink. Includes index of authors, and subject index. The dust jacket states fourth impression. Of interest, are the inscriptions and newspaper clippings. Signature of Agnes Dobson, Judith George, Jane Cherry, Joan Skelton, Robert Clarke, John Durham, RG Jewell, Penelope Kerr, Patricia Horsfeld and I think Frank Gatliff on the paste down and FRONT FREE END PAGE WITH A NOTATION "TO DEAR MUM FROM ALL HER CHUMS "THE EASY VIRTUE GIRLS". Newspaper clipping relating to a performance by Agnes Dobson and the Melbourne Repertory Theatre on front paste down, with three other clippings on the verso of the free end page and on half title page (dated September 1949).
