500 g; 188pp., Prologue. Illustrated frontispiece, by Raymond Payne. Within the text there is one map-- showing area transversed by Wingate expedition, and one photograph of Brigadier Wingate. Red coloured boards with black writing on the front panel and spine. A journalist's report on the expedition led by Brigadier Wingate into Burma -- Japanese held territory, in 1942. Ownership inscription on front end page, slight bumping to the top right-hand corner of the front panel, darkening of the spine section of the binding probably from handling, and bumping to do to lower corners.
