The text is illustrated with portraits of the two doctors who founded the women's – Dr Richard Tracey and Dr John Maund and an illustration of the original entrance to the first hospital. Cream coloured cloth covered boards, which has the hospital's shield on the front panel, along with black coloured titles and black coloured titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing the hospital's shield, with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The Centenary history of the Women's Hospital of Melbourne, Victoria – dedicated to the health of women, along with the training of innumerable medical students and midwives. Softening to the backstrip edges with bumping of the book corners. Rubbing to the lower book corners and there is darkening of the spine. Foxing spots to the book panels and to the top book edges. Browning and foxing to the textblock edges and age toned of the pages. Offset tanning, light browning and foxing to the endpapers and there is an erasure mark to the top right-hand corner of the free front end paper. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Creasing along with some tears and pieces missing to the edge papers. The dustwrapper is sunned, rubbed and shows handling marks.
