Illustrated card cover with black and green coloured titles to the front panel and black-and-white coloured titles to the backstrip. The book has French flaps, and a black-and-white photograph of author sits on the rear fold over flap. Paraphrasing Margaret Atwood on the rear panel, "A complex, deeply-written and finely-wrought double port of two women, one black, one white, picking their way through the debris of shattered colonialism, discovering unexpected treasures buried in the rubble." Creasing to the book corners was rubbing of the book edges and panels. Previous owners name to the top edge of the title page.
