Each section of the book has an introduction by its author and a list of illustrations, some of which are in colour. The coloured frontispiece for the Arts & Crafts section is a photograph of a Medici Porcelain Bottle circa 1580, and the coloured frontispiece for the potting section is a photograph of an old Spode dish circa 1797. The book is illustrated with black-and-white and the occasional colour photograph and the occasional black-and-white illustration within the text. Brick red coloured cloth covered boards with lack coloured titles to the backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper with green coloured titles to the front panel and green and brown coloured titles to the backstrip. A small book on 2 separate, but, arts related subjects – arts and crafts and potting. The Arts & Crafts section of the book was first published in 1928. Softening to the backstrip edges with rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Browning and faint foxing to the textblock edges with age toning of the pages. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Numerous tears and chips to the top dustwrapper edge with a small tear to the lower edge of the front panel. Heavy rubbing, marked and stains to the dustwrapper with fading to the backstrip. A series of small holes to the lower edge of the rear panel. There is a piece missing from the lower left-hand corner of the backstrip. First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. The book is paginated separately – [4], III - IV, 1 through 29, [1] pages, for the section Called "Peeps at Arts and Crafts by Gertrude Hector, then,[2], III - VI, 88, [2, pages for the section called "the Story of the Potter" by Harry Barnard..
