author's foreword. Dark rose coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, by Biro, with black coloured titled the front panel and backstrip. Set in Berwickshire and Northumbria and the challenges of the 1857 Tweed Fisheries Act, which prohibited fishing the salmon within 50 square miles of open sea off the mouth of the River Tweed. Minor rubbing to the book edges with tape residue to the top and bottom edges. Browning and foxing of the textblock edges with age toning of the pages. The major fault of the book has been the scrubbing out of a previous owner's name with black marker to the top right-hand corner of the free front end paper.
